Good stuff. The virus analogy is a particularly useful one when talking about organised religion

Awesome! I always thought it was a Humanist anthem, but I found out some disturbing facts. It seems in some places (*cough* U.S.) They change it to "and one religion, too." very sad. Though I then recall it's not blasphemy when they do it to us, is it. Peace.

Very nice vid :) I haven't actually heard "Imagine" since I abandoned theism. Suddenly I like it a whole lot better than I used to ;o)

I just wish more people would truly UNDERSTAND Jesus and what he said and did more accurately before reaching a verdict. I humbled myself literally to the point of death in my search for Truth, and it was only then that I began to receive wisdom - wisdom I knew I was not capable of coming up with on my own.

I cannot comment too much on the problem of evil outside of my spirituality except to say that, if I am wrong in my Christian beliefs, and there is no spirit world from which good and evil come, then we are, I guess, simply left to do the best we can - which we should do no matter what.

Well, I am so convinced that Christ is who he was that, when I am not reading or writing or having conversations on You Tube, I am praying and re-reading the Gospels and Epistles. I cannot tell you how disgusted I was (and still am) with the Old Testament. However, I still believe in it, and it is ALL because of Christ. I see the essence of the Human Condition and the mysteries of the Universe wrapped up in his being. Most of the Bible makes almost no sense without him.

To my way of thinking, "evil" (as it has no demonic external source) is best described as the lack of empathy. (That was the assertion of the defense lawyer of Rudolf Hess.) That means that Love(good) is from empathy and Hate(evil) is antipathy. Peace. Conversation is the ultimate art we may all attain.

I fully accept that I can be wrong. That's the beauty of a theory. What if, for example, the is no god and people of honest character like yourself simply do the right thing regardless? What if, further, this has nothing to do with celestial tyrany? What then is the cause of "evil"?
