MBallack 2008-03-24 16:49:57 Supposedly Kenshin is based on Kawakami Gensai, who was one of the four real Hitokiri. But Gensai was more like the old Battosai and didn't really have the pascifist views that Kenshin has. His sword style was called the Firanui style of Kenjutsu. __________________________________________________
Shinokyouku 2008-03-24 06:14:10 It's unverified that he was "ruthless" what is true was the he had a very strong sense of justice and that he would execute corrupt members of the shinsengumi. The Gatotsu was false and the Hiratsuki is the actual attack. What the hell are you talking about with "killing many shogun." He was a fucking captain of the Shinsengumi, he was on the side of the shogunate. __________________________________________________
Shinokyouku 2008-03-24 06:10:29 the bear information shown in RuroKen of Hajime Saito is correct. He was the 3rd squad Commander of the Shinsengumi, during the Meiji Restoration, on the SHOGUNATE side. Furthermore he did change his name to Fujita Goro. The Gatotsu,is based off of a real attack used by the Shinsengumi, the "Hiratsuki" which is also mentioned in the series. The only thing that is true about Saito in terms of personality is his sense of justice, though "akusokuzan" is made up __________________________________________________
