o0splitpaw0o ::: Favorites 2007-05-10 10:46:48 It's in the repositories of 7.04 called gtk-RecordMyDesktop and devede to compile it to mpg. I tried just typing mpg in recordmydesktop, but after uploading it, it would fail. it couldn't compile it, but ubuntu played it fine. *shrug* so this is a work around. editing videos... best one I could fine called pividi videoeditor, but no special titles adding, but on the hunt. __________________________________________________

lewiar ::: Favorites 2007-05-10 05:54:06 Great, I just installed this on my Slackware box, and it works lovely... in answer to the previous comment:- By far the best option I have found for capturing screencasts under Linux is beryl-vidcap, although it's a bit hard to get going and outputs very large raw files that have to be converted... you could also use xvidcap, which is probably OK if you have less than 1600x1200 and a fast computer... __________________________________________________
