He was the first to do both in one season in fact. In 1980 he had the 3rd most steals in NBA history. Triple double machine. He made 2-3 all D first teams. Got the Knicks to their only 50 win season between the 73 title and 1989. Magic said Michael played just like him and Isiah Thomas said he was the only player who owned him.
