Description: This is a response to Seanc118's question, "Why are American Atheists so angry?" I think they're angry because while we have been respectful of religion and respectful of other people's religious beliefs, we are in the midst of a religious takeover in this country. We gave respect and in return we got a war on science.

Religion is so divisive and polarizing an issue, we used to be better at dealing with it over here. Now it's crept into our politics and personal relationships. Even Planned Parenthood, which is simply basic birth control information, and the Fundamentalists over here attack it like it was some Satanic Organization! Although, I don't think that Canada will ever go off the deep end like the U.S. has, do you?
