Uh-Huh. I guess I'll see how Accent Core fares when it gets its Wii release. I wanna see how that shiz is gonna control on that Wiimote. Maybe people will start bringing their Wiimotes to tournaments. :P

The characters may be likeable (in terms of their style), but top arcade players generally don't give a damn about the story behind those characters. The focus on GG is the gameplay for high level play, not to attract the attention of scrubs.

Only scrubs care about stories? Puuuu-leaze. Guilty Gear is one of those rare fighting games that have a solid fighting engine and a very likable cast of characters.

And yes, generally only scrubs care about stories. Guilty Gear rehashes are made to favor the arcade players rather than fanboys that put too much emphasis on story.

There are actually quite a few new system changes that have been added to this game. These didn't even exist in XX/#R/Slash. It's clear that the Guilty Gear engine is considered by most to be the best one. Arc Systems is probably trying to improve this system to the best it can probably be. Coming up with a whole new system is pretty risky. I guess you can say they did this for Hokuto no Ken.

Even without the story, I'd still hardly call it a new GG game. There's no new characters or anything, and the gameplay is more or less the same. It needs more new content.

Umm... aside from some console players, no-one cares about the story. GG is an arcade game PORTED onto consoles. In other words, the target market is arcade gamers and I can't think of one arcade with gamers that care for the story in any fighting game. You see, GG's story is not what's important which is why they don't advance it. So AC IS a new GG game, but with no changes to the story. Just because the story hasn't advanced doesn't mean it's not new. A game is not defined by it's story!

Of course I play GG, it's a good fighting game, but I don't like seeing a truckload of upgrades to the same game that doesn't add anything that is actually new the game. Arc System Works should be working on a Guilty Gear XXX or whatever, not another Guilty Gear XX rehash. There's alot of story left in the Guilty Gear universe that needs some light shed on it. At least in Tekken and KOF's case, the saga continues. But Guilty Gear is stuck in Street Fighter II limbo.

... and Street fighter's still Street fighter, KOF's still KOF, Tekken's still Tekken, VF's still VF etc. Do you even play GG? If not, then it doesn't surprise me that you just look at the "GGXX" in the title and assume it's just another remake. Try being open-minded every once in a while!

It's still Guilty Gear XX, that's all there is to say about it.
