fuzzie20 ::: Favorites Thanks a lot for the video Tim. I have a size 14 foot and a Pearl P2002C Lol. How long did it take you to get this good at heel-toe? 07-08-05 06:18:27 __________________________________________________
drumsmasterj ::: Favorites hey man, i got size twelve and a pdp pedal so its small, practice the motion on the ground pushing off from ur toe hearing two distinct taps and then apply it to the pedal after u master it on the ground 07-07-19 22:29:33 __________________________________________________
LETHALxLS1 ::: Favorites I think alot of people get caught up in believing they need a certain pedal or drumset to accomplish awsome playing which isnt 100% true. Practice and good technique are key elements in becoming an awsome drummer. They didnt even have axis long board pedals back in the day and drummers were still increadable at double bass. 07-07-02 01:19:04 __________________________________________________
vrxyled ::: Favorites when try this on my pedal ma heel stroke cannot be executed properly as wen i try d heel stroke d ma toes hit d chain.....any ideas? 07-06-27 07:06:55 __________________________________________________
djp132 ::: Favorites Derrick Pope here and I concur. Tim is the man, and YES this technique can be done on any pedal with any size foot. One thing I always say to my students is that this is a FOOT technique, not a pedal technique. Many people get caught up on spring tension, board length/angle, etc, and yes these adjustments can make things a wee bit easier, but the real key is simply understanding the motion. When you understand the motions and the physics of what is happening, the equipment doesn't matter. 07-04-23 23:56:02 __________________________________________________
Sizigy12345 ::: Favorites na bro sry if u can do it on the axis pedals , with a lil practice you can aply it to just about any pedal 07-04-05 22:07:42 __________________________________________________
drummerofdarkness ::: Favorites well said mate! 07-03-07 11:24:09 __________________________________________________
drummessiah ::: Favorites I've been doing the heel-toe for a long time now and I've done it using a few different types of pedals. It started from punk drumming and getting that double sound on beat 3. If you practice slamming your heel down, the toe part kind of just follows when returning to rest position. 07-03-06 06:28:51 __________________________________________________
DissYraiN ::: Favorites you also have to condition the muscels in the front of your shin. look at his. they are huge. to get better at heel toe strokes, you have to play heel down, too. that will work the front of your legs. 07-03-02 03:01:45 __________________________________________________
sabiansplash ::: Favorites I have some crappy brandless pedals which really makes the heel-toe technique a thousand times more difficult and painful.. I removed the pedal's "limiter" that protects your feet from the chain. But the pedal was still crappy. And I have size 10 feet to make that even worse. 07-02-21 05:53:14 __________________________________________________ |
