Description: In 1982 Frida took part in a Danish TV show called "Eddie Skoller Show". She started with singing "I Know There's Something Going On" - was then interviewed - then sang backing vocals on "Jeg holder med Kina" - then sang "Baby Don't You Cry No More" and lastly sang "Sangen om langfart", in a duet with Danish musical-writer and folk-singer Sebastian. Here you have "I Know There's Something Going On" from the show. More info can be found on ABBAonTV www.abbaontv.com/1982/description-eddie-skoller-show.html . |

mysterybat35 ::: Favorites she's dressed like one of the Golden Girls 07-09-05 17:33:24 __________________________________________________
ND80SFAN ::: Favorites Frida was always chump change compared to Agnetha. I'm sorry...I couldn't resist. ;-) It's a shame that so many people take sides with the two, as if there was some sort of competition. Personally, I think Agnetha was better as a solo artist. But Frida was a brilliant artist too. And I'm probably one of the few people who think she was always the better looking of the two. In this video she looks absolutely stunning. 07-09-02 20:56:11 __________________________________________________
jkwfaninwv70 ::: Favorites In my opinion, back in her ABBA days I think Frida had more confidence in her body and her command of the stage more than Agnetha did, and in some 2004 interviews Agnetha even said so. It may be because Frida's 5 years older than Agnetha. It may not show here in this performance. I think it had a lot to do with her being on an empty stage made to mime to playback. 07-08-18 10:46:47 __________________________________________________
kikkiokioli ::: Favorites agree 100% with this part of your comments. 07-08-04 02:22:10 __________________________________________________
kikkiokioli ::: Favorites she does have rhythm, sometimes. certainly not here though. I'd forgive her anything, so I'll just pretend I didn't see this video and move on without looking back (lol). 07-08-04 02:20:04 __________________________________________________
kikkiokioli ::: Favorites Like the popular 80's song? god, how I despised that song. makes me dry heave just thinking about it. 07-08-04 02:13:23 __________________________________________________
cazziekins ::: Favorites Well Madonna is probably glad she ISN'T her voice cos she doesn't have much of one IMHO!!lol.Agnetha never seemed that comfortable onstage to me either,out of the two Frida always looked like she had the most fun,good job we all have different views or how boring the world would be!! 07-08-01 05:07:02 __________________________________________________
1375355 ::: Favorites I absolutely love that womans voice. Sure brings back great memories! Thaks for posting. 07-07-14 21:04:00 __________________________________________________
hardtimesincountry ::: Favorites I agree Frida looks rather awkward here. I suggest a couple of reasons: Firstly televison at that time, while clinging to play-back as opposed to live performance, had very little idea how to present it. Look at it: Frida is placed on a completely empty floor without even that minimum prop - a microphone. She probably wasn't choreographed (and knowing 80's Danish televison that may even be a good thing!). 07-07-04 12:01:21 __________________________________________________
hardtimesincountry ::: Favorites Secondly, I don't think Frida's a natural stage performer. She's first and foremost a singer. She is a very beautiful woman, of course, but essentially she IS her voice in a way that perhaps Agnetha (and someone like Madonna certainly) isn't. I think someone like Frida was born to sing, and at certain times, in certain songs, I think hers is the most beautiful, expressive, mysterious, intense, womanly voice that I have ever heard. 07-07-04 12:00:27 __________________________________________________ |
