Patjeanr ::: Favorites Thanks for this demonstration. I did not realize how simple making soy milk can be. This really is helpful and I am hoping will save me some money as I go through more than a quart a day. 07-07-06 11:30:52 _____________________________________________________
thedailyenglishshow ::: Favorites You're welcome. I didn't realise it was so simple either. I was quite surprised. 07-07-08 13:16:38 _____________________________________________________
Spiff144 ::: Favorites Lovely 07-07-06 14:03:25 _____________________________________________________
Noah2112 ::: Favorites What do they do with the skimmed leftovers? 07-07-06 16:57:06 _____________________________________________________
thedailyenglishshow ::: Favorites Do you mean the stuff I skimmed off the top when it was cooking? That is kind of poisonous... so it is thrown away. The other stuff (okara) is usually used as animal feed - or in cooking. I have been making lots of stuff with the okara: falafel, stir-fry, pizza base. 07-07-08 13:20:15 _____________________________________________________
proffmongo ::: Favorites Thankyou!! I love your accent. Poor the milk into jazz! Love it!!! 07-07-06 17:01:10 _____________________________________________________
thedailyenglishshow ::: Favorites Thanks : ) jazz lol 07-07-08 13:20:50 _____________________________________________________
kitanalove59 ::: Favorites That's pretty darn cool. hee. I have to use soy milk (though I really only bother to use it with cereal) since I have acid reflux and regular milk is just a big no no. I never knew it could be that easy. lol. Does it taste very different from what you'd buy in the store? I usually just get Silk soy milk. 07-07-06 20:47:49 _____________________________________________________
thedailyenglishshow ::: Favorites It tastes different to the stuff I have been drinking in Canada (So Nice) - because that has extra ingredients like sugar, flavour etc. But it tastes pretty much the same as the plain stuff I get in Japan. 07-07-08 13:23:25 _____________________________________________________
kitanalove59 ::: Favorites Hmmm. I'll have to try it one day. *G* Thanks for sharing, hun. 07-07-08 21:03:56 _____________________________________________________
maneneko ::: Favorites OOoo I didn't know the foam is poisonous! My mom makes a type of miso soup a lot like that (we leave the beans inside and a bit chunky) but we leave the foam there. Uh oh... 07-07-10 01:46:29 _____________________________________________________
thedailyenglishshow ::: Favorites Then again ... your mum probably knows more about it than me. 07-08-13 21:01:51 _____________________________________________________ |
