Description:
Third day using this clam truck. Its a 2004 Sterling with a clam and dump body, movement is kinda rough while keeping an eye on the camera making sure it doesnt vibrate off of the truck. Ran out or memory space before I could finish the pile. Hope you enjoy! |

Trashman242 ::: Favorites Got to be fun to operate! Looks like a load from the school, love seeing that kinda thing get crushed with all the chair legs sticking out! Got the same question as rd1027...are you not driving a FL anymore? 07-07-14 02:44:46 _____________________________________________________
200103511 ::: Favorites Ha, nice!!! Of course, this wouldn't be a comment on this video if I didn't ask that same question: What happened to your FL? Did you change or is this just temporary? 07-07-14 03:44:57 _____________________________________________________
MitchellM15 ::: Favorites AWESOME truck! Haven't seen these in action before! I've noticed these trucks are becoming popular to achieve automated refuse services! So are these the trucsk used for the hard waste pickuups in the area you collected at or was it a kind of on-call service? How is the clamp mechanism controlled? 07-07-14 04:55:02 _____________________________________________________
jeepman65 ::: Favorites The clam is controlled by 6 levers. From left to right they are: Raise/lower tower, Boom tilt, boom extend, tower swing(left right), Clam close/open, clam rotate, last lever is raise/lower body. The clam truck has its own daily route for hard waste pickup. Its getting so busy that our supervisor has ordered a second clam truck along with the FL were supposed to get. However with budget cuts our vehicles (if we get them both at all) have been placed on next years budget. 07-07-14 09:11:58 _____________________________________________________
MitchellM15 ::: Favorites A lot of movement functions by the sounds of it! With this new FL your company's getting, what body is it? Is it supposed to have a carry can or something? 07-07-15 02:47:35 _____________________________________________________
jeepman65 ::: Favorites Thanks for the comments everyone! Ive always wanted to try this truck out and learn how to use it. Also, this is the only truck that gets called out after hours in events of emergencies (natural disaster recovery/ special projects) I thought itd be nice to have that door open for some over time pay if I wanted it. I dont think Id ever give up my FL though. 07-07-14 09:13:39 _____________________________________________________
MitchellM15 ::: Favorites Can't give up the EZ-Pack! LOL!! 07-07-15 02:45:29 _____________________________________________________
jeepman65 ::: Favorites Our supervisor is very satisfied with the service that Mack has always provided. Itll most likely have a Heil body. The school district has had a big budget cut, and theyre looking for a truck and body that will give them the most for their money, and Mack/Heil (in my opinion) is the best. 07-07-15 09:22:22 _____________________________________________________
